This is a research project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to uncover Stockport’s African and Caribbean Heritage.

There is very little information about the lives of people with Black African and Caribbean heritage in Stockport or the contributions they have made in our society. This project aims to uncover untold stories, create an archive and acknowledge our unsung heroes.

We want to hear from Stockport residents who are from Black African or Caribbean background.
