Tony is a vastly experienced senior manager and consultant, he recently was a finalist national diversity award for Lifetime Achievement. Tony is also a diversity practitioner with work experience spanning most employment sectors of the UK. He was the principal driving force in establishing the Ethnic Minority Foundation (EMF) and the Council of Ethnic Minority Voluntary Sector Organisations (CEMVO) in the North West, culminating in the acquisition of a major building in Manchester City Centre to be used as a social enterprise and resource centre for the capacity building of the BME communities in the voluntary sector. He has raised over £1m with EU funding for the voluntary sector. His previous position includes 23 years as a career civil servant working across a number of major government departments in London, Sheffield and Manchester. Tony was involved in developing and establishing the Prince’s Trust Volunteers Programme in the UK and was Task Force Leader for Moss Side and Hulme in the early 90s. He is a husband and a father of two in his spare time he looks after his grandchildren.
